Testosterone Replacement Therapy

TRT starts with understanding your health, not just a number. A licensed provider reviews your symptoms, medical history and lab work to determine whether testosterone treatment is appropriate for you.

What TRT is

Testosterone replacement therapy uses prescribed testosterone to treat a deficiency. Diagnosis involves both clinical evaluation and blood testing. Treatment is not appropriate for everyone, and symptoms such as fatigue or changes in libido can have many causes.

A plan shaped around you

Your provider considers your lab findings, symptoms, current medications and medical history. If treatment is prescribed, your clinician explains the formulation, administration and follow-up plan. This page does not provide dosing instructions or guarantee any particular benefit.

Risks and monitoring

Testosterone treatment can raise red blood cell counts, cause acne or fluid retention, and reduce sperm production. Other risks depend on your health history and prescribed formulation. Discuss fertility goals and any prostate, heart or sleep-related conditions with your provider. Regular monitoring helps your clinician evaluate your treatment.
